Flight Observer Program

    A Ride Along experience for area Emergency Services Personnel

     Interested providers should contact their leadership (Fire, EMS, Police and / or 911 Communication Specialists) for permission to participate. Providers will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis, once a locally approved and signed "Flight Observer Application Form" has been received at Sky FlightCare.

     Applications and request for information should be directed to Lowell Fina Chief Flight Nurse at 610-383-8767.

     All flight observers must wear appropriate dress (affiliation uniform preferred) and leather boots.

     No OR scrubs, jeans, shorts, dresses or sneakers / clogs will be worn. Cotton or Nomex uniforms are strongly encouraged. Synthetic clothing which could potentially melt is when heat is encountered is discouraged. Excessive amounts of jewelry should not be worn. Shoulder length hair needs to be tied back or worn up.

     At the beginning of your shift you will be taken through an approximately 2 hour Aircraft orientation / safety course that will involve all aspects of the program, aircraft, flight orientation, communications center and safety.
