LZ setup

1.) Choose your LZ location: If possible provide GPS coordinates

2.) Designate LZ Officer and frequency

3.) Inspect LZ for all obstructions, debris and unauthorized personnel

4.) Set up the LZ using 4 flares or 4 cones to mark the corners 100' apart

5.) Provide a brief patient report if possible

6.) When contacted provide a detailed LZ description

7.) Stop a vehicular traffic in the area, Turn off all white lights

8.) NO SMOKING

9.) DO NOT approach the aircraft, the flight crew will come to you

10.) Have a minimum of 4 personnel available to assist with transfer to aircraft

11.) When working around the aircraft remain in the pilots view at all times
